About The Position

Our company is accepting applications for an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher for the City of Grand Junction's Child Care Facility (GJ Little Learners). Opened in 2022, our facility serves as an employer-based early childhood education center. We seek a dedicated, creative, and hardworking individual passionate about educating young children. As an Early Childhood Education Teacher in the Toddler Room, working primarily with children ages 18-36 months, you will oversee the classroom, adhere to childcare standards and regulations, foster a nurturing learning environment, and maintain high childcare standards. Our facility is part of the Colorado Shines program, earning a Level 4 rating in 2024.

About The Facility

GJ Little Learners operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, aiming to create a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children and staff. The facility emphasizes creating a world of learning, joy, and adventure for children and employees.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
• Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, and caregivers.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of classroom and facility equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all childcare laws, rules, and safety regulations.
• Serve as a liaison among staff, families, and community groups.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Two years of experience in coordinating or implementing recreational or childcare programs. Must meet the appropriate Early Childhood Teacher requirements and provide documentation as required by the Colorado Department of Human Services. Ability to meet Toddler Program Staff requirements per Colorado regulations. Valid Colorado driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain. Other combinations of experience and education may be considered. This is a safety-sensitive position subject to drug screening.
