Early Childhood Education Substitute Teacher
BASE WAGE: $14.33 per hour
JOB TYPE: Part-Time
DESCRIPTION:
Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers, part of SAL Community Services, is the Quad Cities area’s leading provider of early childhood care and education. We provide a safe, secure, and supportive environment centered on how playing can charge the mind of the children we care for.
This position is for variable hours on an as-needed basis. Hours/days expected to work will include at least one day per week, in addition to summers, holiday breaks, and/or spring breaks during the school year.
The Substitute Teacher supports developing a quality learning environment which is developmentally appropriate and actively engages children in the learning process. Through experience, this position will serve to enhance the child’s physical, emotional, cognitive, and social growth. The Substitute Teacher collaborates in implementing curriculum as well as maintaining appropriate and regular communication with families. You will also:

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A full list of job responsibilities will be provided prior to an interview. Education and Experience:
Required: Must be 18 years old or older with a High School Diploma or equivalency certificate (GED) required. Meet the requirements established by the regulatory agency for the state in which employed.
Preferred: Experience working with children.
