Job summary

The Learning Experience in Battery Park, NYC is seeking an Educational Director to lead curriculum implementation, coach teachers, and ensure compliance across classrooms. You will partner with families and school leadership to maintain high instructional standards and robust professional development programs.

Ideal candidates hold a NYC teaching certification, a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, and experience with 3K/Pre-K.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field required; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee consistent implementation of The Learning Experience curriculum across all classrooms.
• Maintain high standards for instruction, lesson planning, classroom environments, and child engagement.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide coaching and feedback to teachers.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Lead and Assistant Teachers.
• Support teacher onboarding, training, performance, and professional development.
• Oversee educational programming from infancy through preschool, including 3K and Pre-K where applicable.
• Ensure required educational documentation, assessments, classroom records, and teacher credentials remain current.
• Maintain compliance with NYC DOHMH, DOE, and other requirements.
• Support licensing, DOE, and quality-assurance visits.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, teachers, and school leadership.
• Promote a positive, collaborative culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
