Job summary

Centro de la Familia seeks an Early Childhood Education Coach to advance Practice-Based Coaching across our centers. Under the Education Director, you will provide intensive coaching to teachers, promote strong teaching practices, and support dual-language learners to improve child outcomes.

This role may be based in Providence or Honeyville. Travel to centers is required to conduct coaching sessions, observe classroom practice, and document progress.

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Experience in adult learning and data-driven decision-making is preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive coaching to teachers to elevate teaching practices.
  • Travel to centers regularly to conduct coaching sessions.
  • Document PBC processes and progress in Centro's data system.
  • Assist teachers in creating professional development plans based on effective teaching practices.
  • Model and support the achievement of CLASS observer reliability.

Dynamic Job Opportunity: Early Childhood Education Coach

Overview

Under the guidance of the Education Director, contribute to the successful implementation of Practice-Based Coaching (PBC) at Centro. Provide intensive coaching to teachers, fostering the enhancement of teaching practices for positive child outcomes. This position may be based at either the Providence or Honeyville location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stay abreast of current developments in early childhood education, including Practice-Based Coaching (PBC), Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF), and Head Start Performance Standards.
  • Recognizes bilingualism and biliteracy as a strength and implements research-based teaching practices that support dual-language learners.
  • Promote the Coaching program to encourage active participation.
  • Review data from the Initial Self Reflection with the Education Specialist and guide teaching staff to a suitable professional development track.
  • Assist teachers in creating action plans based on effective teaching practices.
  • Model highly effective teaching practices in classrooms.
  • Conduct focused observations, either in person or through video, and engage in reflective conversations with teachers.
  • Document the PBC process using Centro's data system and provide progress reports to the Education Director.
  • Regularly traveling to centers to conduct coaching sessions is required.
  • Achieve and maintain CLASS observer reliability.

Qualifications
