Job summary

Urban Community School in Cleveland, OH seeks a Director of Early Childhood to lead the Gallagher Family Early Education Center and school program across 13 classrooms. You will oversee day-to-day operations, align academics, enrollment, staffing, and family engagement, and manage external partnerships including Head Start and PRE4CLE.

The role requires a 7+ year track record in early childhood with 3+ years of leadership, a bachelor’s degree (advanced preferred), and a strong focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of early childhood experience with exceptional results.
• 3+ years of leadership/management experience.
• Experience with early childhood curriculum and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and developing the Early Childhood team (13 teachers, 25 assistants).
• Create systems for regular observation and feedback.
• Promote sustainable, positive culture and restorative practices.
• Lead professional development for leaders and teachers.
• Analyze student data to drive instruction and curricular improvements.
• Coordinate day-to-day EEC operations and enrollment planning.
• Ensure licensing, credentialing, funding program compliance.
