Responsibilities

  • Implement and execute curriculum for Early Childhood weekend services.
  • Coordinate staffing for each weekend and communicate with team members.
  • Ensure supplies and materials are available for each area.
  • Assist with events (Parent/Child Dedication, Summer Jam, preschool events).
  • Invite, train and delegate to key leaders to share essential tasks.
  • Promote KIDS CO. to parents and church via social media and outreach.
  • Be present during weekend services to engage volunteers, parents, and children.
  • Attend KIDS CO. activities beyond Sundays and support team unity.

JOB SUMMARY:Assist the KIDS CO. Pastor (Early Childhood) in overseeing the children, leaders and program in Early Childhood. This is a part-time, 25-hour-per-week position.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Implement and execute curriculum and plan for the Early Childhood weekend servicesCoordinate the staffing status for each weekend as well as communication to the team membersEnsure that all supplies and programming materials are provided for each areaAssist Early Childhood Pastor in implementing and executing events (Parent/Child Dedication, Summer Jam, Preschool events, etc.)Invite, train and delegate to a team of key leaders who can help carry out and share essential functions of ministry for this age groupWork with other KIDS CO. staff to use social media to promote KIDS CO. to parents and church at largeHave a physical presence during the weekend services to connect with volunteers, parents and childrenSupport and care for leaders beyond SundayAttend church serviceBe committed to doing ministry as a team and promote unityBe an active participant in most KIDS CO. related activitiesTEAM MEMBER:Meet bi-weekly with KIDS CO. staff for discussion, evaluation and sharing of vision and needs of the KIDS CO. ministryMeet weekly with KIDS CO. Pastor (Early Childhood) for training, development, and care.Be committed to doing ministry as a team and promoting unityBe an active participant in KIDS CO. related activitiesPursue an active, growing relationship with ChristConsistently attend a church service at least twice a month.JOB PROFILE:SPECIFIC SKILLS / STRENGTHSLeadership skills and passion are necessary to recruit, encourage and inspire new and existing Team Members.Organization is necessary to ensure the implementation, planning, and execution of the weekend services.Communication is key to developing relationships with Legacy and KIDS CO. Staff, Team Members, and parents.Flexibility is crucial as we pivot each weekend to make services successful.A fun, positive, and welcoming attitude is essential to building a community among the team and parents.EXPERIENCE DESIREDData processingTeaching or childcareMinimum 2+ year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.EDUCATION DESIREDMinimum of high school diploma or equivalency; college degree preferredSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervises a volunteer team on the weekends.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to speak effectively and understandably on the phone. The ability to effectively present information and respond to common inquiries regarding the Chase Oaks technical environment is also required. High attention to customer service.COMPUTER SKILLSStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook calendaring, and emailBasic knowledge of Excel and PowerPointBasic knowledge of CanvaData Entry skill & experienceFamiliarity with DatabasesPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Lifting 5 – 10 pounds is an occasional but essential requirement.
