JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Bennett Family Center, on the University Park campus, is seeking a candidate for an Early Childhood Development Educator (working with children infant - 3 years old) committed to creating and providing high-quality learning environments for young children and families.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and maintaining high-quality classroom standards in a laboratory setting
  • Coordinating and implementing an innovative curriculum model with a team of colleagues
  • Establishing and maintaining respectful and cooperative relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and families
  • Providing oversight and training of interns and student teachers in early childhood education undergraduate programs
  • Maintaining standards in accordance with NAEYC accreditation and PA Keystone STARS 4 quality standards

This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience and will be filled at the Intermediate Professional level.

This position requires:

  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Fingerprint Criminal Background Check, and NSOR
  • A health physical with TB test prior to starting
  • Additional clearances if residing outside Pennsylvania in the past five years

The salary range is $34,800.00 - $50,500.00, including all grades (https://hr.psu.edu/current-employee/compensation/staff-salary-grades-and...).
