Base pay range

$15.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Summary

The Teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with children and adults to meet children's needs, guide teacher assistants, and address parental concerns.

Duties
  • Coordinate and implement educational curriculum based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
  • Lead by example; encourage team success through modeling and coaching.
  • Plan age-appropriate activities to promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
  • Maintain communication with parents through discussions, reports, and conferences.
  • Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain a healthy classroom environment, including hygiene, safety, and security standards.
  • Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate records and files.
  • Engage in continuous professional development.
Requirements
  • At least 12 Early Childhood Education credits from a college.
  • Strong communication skills and basic computer literacy.
  • High energy and ability to work well with staff, children, and parents.
  • Understanding of child development.
  • Leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Clear background check and health screening.
