Job summary

Parents and Children Together in Honolulu seeks an Early Childhood Education Coach to join our full-time team. You will train and support teaching staff in implementing early childhood curricula, under the supervision of the Assistant Director.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in ECE, have two years of ECE experience, and can travel locally as needed. We offer a competitive benefits package, including vacation, sick days, holidays, Kaiser/UHA medical, retirement options, life and pet insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field is required.
• Two years’ experience in an Early Childhood Education setting is required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and daily access to an automobile.
• Proof of no-fault insurance.
• Able to obtain driver’s abstract, FBI background check, CPS child abuse registry check.
• TB test within 6 months prior to employment; physical examination within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and technical assistance to support teaching staff in implementing early childhood curriculum.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to set shared professional development goals via observations and feedback.
• Coordinate a systematic approach to identify and meet the needs of assigned teaching staff.
• Assist staff in creating and achieving professional development goals as part of the coaching program.
• Conduct weekly and/or bi-weekly classroom/home visits and meetings to discuss implementation strategies and provide feedback.
• Submit accurate statistics and reports for accountability.
• Meet regularly with leadership to discuss progress and future direction of the coaching program.
• Provide resources to teaching staff on best practices in early childhood education.
