Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Early Childhood Services, the Early Childhood Clinician will provide screenings, assessments, treatment planning, and individual and family therapy to preschool-aged children (2-5 years).

  • Display empathy, or the ability to look at the client/family's situation from their perspective to understand their experience.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Provide screenings, assessments, treatment planning, and individual and family therapy to preschool-aged children (2-5 years).
  • Participate in weekly department and team meetings, communicating client needs with the treatment team and providing feedback and/or consultation to any treatment member as needed.
  • Complete documentation for services within 24 hours of services.
  • Manage your schedule, including scheduling assessments and sessions and rescheduling any cancellations or make-up appointments.
  • Report weekly productivity.
  • Collaboration with community-based preschool education providers, which may include clinical observations and providing guidance based on children's mental health needs.
  • Utilize appropriate evidence-based practices (PCIT and CPP).

The Basics You'll Need

  • Flexibility to work a minimum of 15 hours per week during our peak "after school hours" defined as after 4pm ET during the week or if you wanted any time on weekends.
  • Active licensure in Virginia as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • At least one year of experience providing mental health services to children under the age of 6.

Salary Range

$80,000-$95,000 USD
