Job summary

Blue River Services, Inc. is seeking a Preschool Classroom Assistant to support the Preschool Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children.

The role includes daily supervision, lesson-plan implementation, family communication, and event coordination. Responsibilities include assisting with activities, maintaining a clean, organized classroom, supervising children in various settings, and documenting attendance and reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CDA credential or related early childhood credential preferred.
• Previous experience in an elementary or early childhood program required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Preschool Teacher with developmentally appropriate activities.
• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom environment.
• Supervise children in classroom, playground, meals, and field trips.
• Lead group activities and support skill development.
• Encourage social, self-help, and communication skills.
• Support prep of daily materials and bulletin boards.
• Assist with themed lesson plans covering cognitive and motor development.
• Maintain accurate documentation including attendance and records.
