Creative Starts is seeking a Classroom Supervisor to maintain an active presence across classrooms, ensuring a high-quality, fully compliant learning environment for preschool-aged children.

You will enforce safety protocols, support teaching staff, and oversee daily operations to maintain proper ratios and smooth center flow.

Qualifications

• Connecticut Head Teacher Certificate or 12+ credits in Early Childhood Education within 1 year.
• At least 3 years of experience working with children at a licensed childcare center.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse staff and parents.
• CPR / First Aid certification.
• Experience with or familiarity with NAEYC accreditation standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper teacher/staff to student ratios.
• Enforce all center policies, protocols, NAEYC Standards and state regulations to ensure a fully compliant learning environment.
• Step in to provide immediate, in-classroom support to teachers as needed to handle challenging behaviors, maintain flow, and relieve overwhelmed staff.
• Coordinate staff lunch break schedule, designate coverage to ensure classroom ratio compliance and child safety.
• Oversee and verify that all teachers complete required daily cleaning duties to meet health, safety, and center presentation standards.

Salary varies $24-$26 per hour based on experience and education credentials. Qualified Teaching Staff are eligible for up to $2,600 Bonus after 6 months.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Applicant must hold a Connecticut Head Teacher Certificate or will complete 12+ credits in Early Childhood Education within 1 year.
• At least 3 years of experience working with children at a licensed childcare center.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse staff and parents.
• Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed.
• CPR / First Aid certified.
• Experience working with or familiarity with NAEYC accreditation standards and practices.
