Qualifications

• 18 years or older and able to meet licensing requirements.
• Previous childcare experience is preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of space, furnishing, and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Use verbal and non-verbal communication to engage children in meaningful conversation.

• Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, materials, and supplies.
• Individualize activities and adapt for children with special needs.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

• Assist with gathering information about each child’s development.
• Participate as a team member in program planning and implementation.
• Be an ambassador of the center with a welcoming attitude toward families.
• Pursue professional development to improve practice and family-centered services.
• Develop and implement a written growth plan.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks and keeping classrooms clean.
• Understand and comply with local licensing requirements.
• Provide other services as required for efficient operation.
