Job summary

Early Learning in the United States is seeking an early childhood assistant/associate teacher to help implement our preschool curriculum and maintain a safe, nurturing classroom. You will support children's growth through purposeful activities and collaborate closely with the Lead Teacher and families.

The role requires a CDA in Preschool or an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDA in Preschool or an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
• Previous experience with children preferred but not required.
• Must meet state licensing requirements for GSRP associate teachers.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain after hire.
• Ability to actively engage with children; capable of lifting 30–40 pounds.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; patient, nurturing, dependable and flexible.
• Commitment to a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing classroom curriculum and adapt to meet each child's needs.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment for exploration and learning.
• Support development through structured activities, play, and positive guidance.
• Collaborate with Lead Teacher to maintain routines and parent communication.
• Monitor and report children's progress to the Lead Teacher.
• Participate in professional development to improve skills and classroom effectiveness.
• Follow health and safety protocols and ensure a clean, secure environment.
• Cultivate positive relationships with children, families and team members.
• Uphold company standards and comply with state licensing requirements.
