Job summary

El Dorado County Office of Education seeks a Classroom Assistant I to support learning, recreation, and personal care for children aged 3–5 under a teacher's guidance in South Lake Tahoe.

The position is part-time (5 hours/day, 192 days/year) with a pay range of $17.88–$23.27 per hour. Initial placement is on the first step of the range; bilingual (Spanish-English) candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior successful experience interacting with children and adults.
• Bilingual Spanish-English candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in carrying out learning, recreation, and personal care activities for children ages 3–5.
• Support the program under state and county guidelines.
