Job summary

The Peace Rose Montessori School is seeking a dedicated Teacher’s Assistant/Aide to support the Lead Teacher in a busy classroom setting. The role runs Monday through Friday, with a start in September 2024, and requires patience, reliability, and a love of working with children.

You will help with arrivals/dismissals and ensure a safe, nurturing environment. Full-time position offering pay based on experience and education, with Montessori knowledge considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children preferred.
• Montessori training or knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher with activities, child care, and classroom management.
• Work independently and follow directions from the Lead.
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
• Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
• Follow school policies and NJ licensing requirements.
• Follow Sayreville Public School curriculum guidelines.
• Develop positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Support one-on-one with students needing extra help.
• Arrive on time and be an upbeat, energetic team member.
