St Wenceslaus School in Omaha, NE is seeking an Early Childhood Instructional Paraprofessional to support classroom teachers with lessons and activities. The role involves guiding students through daily routines, organizing prep work, and providing active supervision to ensure safety in and out of the classroom.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, experience with students, strong communication skills, and a commitment to Catholic values.

Qualifications

• Provide instructional reinforcement of lesson plans under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Serve as a positive, nurturing guide for students.
• Model the school's professional and ethical standards when interacting with students, parents, staff, and community members.
• Supervise students in both instructional and assessment activities in and out of the classroom.

Responsabilités

• Assist with lesson and activities, as determined by the classroom teacher.
• Help guide students through daily routines such as arrival, transitions, and dismissal.
• Organize classroom and prep work for the teacher.
• Perform clerical duties such as filing, copying, and bulletin boards.
• Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Provide active supervision to ensure student safety in the classroom, playground, and during transitions.
• Assist with basic care needs while promoting student independence.
