Job summary

Applitrack is seeking an Early Childhood Classroom Assistant Teacher (ECCAT) Aide to support the instructional program and work directly with young students in small groups or one-to-one settings. The role includes supervising bus passengers and assisting with classroom activities to foster a strong educational foundation.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and WV certification pathways for ECCAT; related coursework and training are required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent; criminal background check required.
ECCAT means a person certified through the WVDE as a temporary or permanent Early Childhood Classroom Assistant Teacher.
Definitions of Aide II, III, IV and Autism Mentor with required experience or coursework.

Responsibilities

Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
Assists teacher with planning, preparation, and distribution of classroom materials; conducts learning activities with children.
Provides individualized and small-group instruction to reinforce skills.
Supervises and assists with student bus passengers and ensures safety on the bus.
Participates in bus duty, hall supervision, lunchroom duty, playground duty and other duties as assigned by the principal.
Assists teachers in supervision of children in classrooms and other locations in the school.
Attends in-services and workshops as directed; participates in specialized training such as CPR, First Aid, Passive Restraint, Behavior management.
