Job summary

Children's Institute, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Health and Wellness Specialist to deliver school-based mental health consultations for children aged 0–5 enrolled in Early Head Start and Head Start.

You will work with caregivers, teachers, family services workers and home visitors to address behavioral health concerns within the program. The role requires extensive travel (>50%), case documentation, and participation in supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a classroom behaviorist with young children 0-5 and families.
• Master's degree in Behavior Science, Psychology or related field.
• Licensed or registered (LCSW or MFT).
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance; travel >50%.
• Spanish/English bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based early childhood mental health consultation for children 0-5 in EHS/Head Start.
• Collaborate with caregivers, teachers, family services workers and home visitors.
• Maintain case notes and prepare periodic reports.
• Facilitate reflective supervision with staff and teachers.
• Travel extensively (>50%) as required.
