Qualifications

• Requires 12 ECE semester units with grade C or better or CDA/CTC credential.
• Requires 6 months related experience with children ages 0-5.
• Must have an Associate Teacher Permit or higher.
• May require a valid California driver license, DMV record, and proof of insurance for travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and education for children ages 0-5, ensuring a positive and engaging learning experience.
• Collaborate with the Center Supervisor and Teachers to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
• Assume the responsibilities of a Teacher in their absence, guiding and supporting instructional assistants, parents, and volunteers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all children.
• Assist in planning and executing educational activities that promote child development.
• Participate in physical activities with children, including games, music, and outdoor play.
• Assist with bus supervision, ensuring the safety and engagement of children during transportation.
• Complete pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR training within the first 30 days of hire.
• Complete 16 hours of training on preventative health practices and nutrition within the first 30 days of hire.

Education
