Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher in Bristol, Virginia. You will support the Lead Teacher, help create a nurturing classroom, and engage children through hands-on activities, storytelling, and daily routines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED; coursework in early childhood education is a plus.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Genuine care for children and commitment to safety and well-being.

Responsabilités

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom meeting licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.
