Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year relevant experience.
• Warm, caring and outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Able to create and maintain positive relationships with children, parents and staff.
• Preferred: 2+ years experience in childcare.
• Health and Safety Trainings.
• CDA Certificate.
• Associate or higher Degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Teacher in Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons.
• Work with a team to provide stimulating environment and activities.
• Encourage parent involvement.
• Set individual goals and record anecdotal observations for each child.
• Keep room clean; help with toileting; other classroom duties.
• Inspects children for signs of illness or injury upon arrival.
• Communicates directly with supervisor.
• Readily accepts supervisory inputs and implements suggestions.
• Be flexible and responsive to child interests.
• Follow daily schedule and provide outdoor playtime twice daily when weather permits.
• Holds parent conferences on schedule and encourages parent participation.
