Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher to help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. You will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth, alongside the Lead Teacher.

You will partner with families, model positive behavior, and contribute to a collaborative teaching team focused on engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Strong communication and family-relations skills.
• Physical ability to work with young children.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.
