Job summary

Everstand in Washington, DC is hiring an Assistant Teacher to support the lead teacher and classroom team, ensuring health and safety of all children while delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. You will supervise students, reinforce learning, and participate in meetings with the Center Director.

This full-time role requires 2 years of ECE experience and a CDA or AA in ECE and related credentials.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in Early Childhood Education.
• Experience with infants and toddlers highly preferred.
• Strong communication with parents and team.

Responsibilities

• Interact with students in a developmentally appropriate manner.
• Provide direct supervision to students throughout the day.
• Support instructional program, field trips, and student activities.
• Assist with implementation of positive discipline policy.
• Maintain a primary care group and complete screenings/assessments.
• Represent Everstand with responsive, caring communication.
• Attend mandatory meetings with Center Director.
