Job summary

Community Services for Children in the Lehigh Valley is hiring Assistant Classroom Teachers for Head Start and Pre-K Counts programs. You will support the lead teacher, prepare learning materials for preschool activities, and help maintain a safe, clean classroom for children aged 3-5.

We value caring, experienced team members and encourage growth; CDA or AA in Early Childhood Education is required within two years.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required; CDA or AA in Early Childhood Education within two years of hire.
• Experience working with young children.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily care of enrolled children following program regulations.
• Plan with lead teacher and prepare learning materials for preschool activities (3-5 years).
• Assist lead teacher in creating and maintaining a safe, clean learning environment and serve meals.
• Contribute to written lesson plans with the lead teacher.
• Accompany bus drivers during transportation to ensure safety.
• Collaborate with parents to support each child's education.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Teacher.

Experience with preschool-agedChildren
