Qualifications:

  1. Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare center
  3. Strong organizational skills
  4. The ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  6. Proficient computer and technology skills
  7. Effective and efficient time management
  8. Meet state licensing requirements for education and experience
  9. First Aid/CPR training will be provided

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment
  2. Implement Reggio Emilia philosophies and Project Approach
  3. Utilize curricular resources
  4. Maintain regular parent/guardian communication
  5. Follow all safety and health guidelines
  6. Support organizational mission, philosophies, values, goals, and policies
  7. Communicate with your colleagues through collaboration and curricular planning
  8. Employ developmentally appropriate classroom management techniques
  9. Engage in respectful communication with students, families, and colleagues
  10. Integrate technology to enhance learning within the classroom
  11. Document educational experiences and display children's work in a manner that highlights student learning
  12. Demonstrate professionalism in conduct, appearance, and practice
  13. Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

  1. Ability to lift and carry children up to 50 pounds
  2. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
