Summary

The Teacher Assistant supports Lead Teachers by helping create a caring and safe environment for children and assisting with activities to enhance care and education quality. The role requires good communication, listening skills, and teamwork. Responsibilities include implementing educational programs, developing positive relationships with children and parents, observing and documenting children's interests and progress, and relaying information to staff and families. The Teacher Assistant is also responsible for executing developmentally appropriate activities based on children's needs and interests.

Duties

• Assist in implementing curriculum activities and encourage children's participation.
• Engage actively in activities; manage classroom cleanliness, maintenance, and materials.
• Maintain communication with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
• Promote self-help skills and good hygiene through modeling behavior.
• Ensure smooth daily transitions from home to childcare center.
• Follow all center policies and state regulations.
• Maintain a personal professional development plan for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
• High energy and ability to work well with others.
• Strong communication skills and basic computer literacy.
• Understanding of child development.

• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must pass a full background check and health screening.
