Job summary

LifeWorks NW is seeking an Early Childhood Education Assistant to support the ECE Specialist in implementing curriculum and daily activities for children aged 0–5. You will assist with meal preparation, classroom setup, and transportation of children as part of the Children's Relief Nursery program.

You will work closely with the Program Director to ensure compliance with regulations. Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to handle crisis calmly are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a two-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Requires at least 1 year of early childhood classroom experience.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Valid Food Handlers card.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Proficient with Outlook and Word.
• Familiar with electronic health record systems.
• Capable of safely lifting and caring for young children.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing curriculum and daily activities.
• Support planning menus and food preparation for children.
• Transport children as needed and ensure safe transport practices.
• Contribute to parent education and team meetings as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to reporting guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining classroom setup and materials.
• Work with ECE Specialist to support individual child plans.
• Observe and report significant child behaviors or concerns.
