Job summary

California Young World, Inc. is hiring a Teacher Assistant to support the classroom team in infant to school-age programs. You will assist with lesson planning, classroom organization, and daily routines under supervision of Teachers and Site Supervisor.

This role emphasizes positive behavior supports and engagement with children. Required: 6 core ECE units and 6+ months of licensed facility experience; ability to start within 3 weeks; Live Scan required.

Qualifications

• 6 CORE ECE units REQUIRED.
• 6+ months experience in a licensed facility.
• Must start within 3 weeks; Live Scan required (reimbursed after 90 days).

Responsibilities

• Assist Teachers with weekly lesson plans in accordance with program curriculum & assessment data.
• Support Master Teacher/Teacher to maintain developmentally appropriate setting in compliance with Title 22 and H&S Code.
• Participate in classroom communication system and daily routines.
• Supervise and care for all children under a Teacher; never left alone with children.
• Assist with collecting notes and anecdotal data for child assessment.
