Job Summary: Little Scribbles Childcare & Learning Center, a Christian-based preschool and daycare center in Ellington, CT, is looking for an Early Childhood Curriculum and Outreach Manager to join our passionate team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and coordination of our early childhood curriculum, ensuring it aligns with our educational philosophy and state standards. Additionally, this position will involve engaging with families and the community to build relationships and extend our outreach efforts. You will help create a dynamic and supportive learning environment where children can flourish intellectually, socially, and emotionally, while also ensuring compliance with state guidelines and fostering family partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Development: Design, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate and faith-based curricula for children ages 6 months to 5 years old.
  2. Program Oversight: Ensure that programs and lesson plans meet state minimums and are aligned with the educational mission and values of Little Scribbles.
  3. Outreach & Family Engagement: Establish and maintain strong communication with families, providing updates on their child's progress and involving them in learning activities and center events.
  4. Training & Support: Train and guide staff on curriculum implementation, teaching strategies, and classroom management techniques to ensure consistency and quality in all classrooms.
  5. Community Outreach: Develop relationships within the local community to build awareness of Little Scribbles Childcare & Learning Center and expand enrollment opportunities.
  6. Resource Management: Oversee the ordering and management of classroom supplies, ensuring materials align with chosen curriculum and educational standards.
  7. Compliance & Standards: Ensure all activities, programs, and classrooms meet state regulations and licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Proven experience in early childhood education, with a deep understanding of child development principles.
  3. Strong knowledge of state-specific early childhood standards and regulations.
  4. Previous experience in curriculum development and staff training.
  5. Ability to build strong, positive relationships with children, families, staff, and the community.
  6. Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  7. Must meet state-specific guidelines and hold applicable certifications.

Hours of Operation: 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
