Job summary

The Puyallup Tribe of Indians seeks a Teacher’s Assistant for the Grandview Child Care Center (GELC). This full-time role supports early childhood education for birth to age 5 and school-age children, helping lead teachers and maintaining a safe, culturally respectful learning environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 6 months experience working with groups of young children.
• Must complete WA state STARS training within one year of hire.
• Must complete all three WA state stackable certificates (47 credits) within three years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing the daily program for all group and outdoor activities.
• Greet parents, children and staff with a positive attitude.
• Assist in planning learning environments and materials emphasizing cultural learning.
• Supervise restrooms, meals, and housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean center.
• Support lead classroom teacher and participate in required trainings.
