Job summary

Acelero Learning is seeking an Early Childhood Assessor to support assessments of language, literacy, and math skills in diverse school settings. The LTE will travel to centers and administer three to four assessments per child, scoring and recording results, and coordinating with the team.

The role is temporary and requires independent transportation, with potential local travel by car. Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) and strong data management and communication

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's or enrollment preferred in related fields such as child development or psychology.
  • Experience with data collection is preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation.
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal, with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

  • Complete training on administering assessments.
  • Travel to centers in assigned locations for assessments.
  • Administer and score assessments; enter data and submit results.
  • Attend meetings, events, and training as required; perform other duties as assigned.

Acelero Learning is currently seeking Early Childhood Assessors in (Clark County, Nevada; Camden, NJ & Philadelphia, PA; Monmouth/Middlesex Counties, NJ; Milwaukee and Racine Areas, Wisconsin; Kent and Sussex Counties, Delaware; and Aiken and Barnwell Counties in South Carolina).

As an Early Childhood Assessor, the LTE is responsible for assessing children's early childhood language, literacy, and math skills. This position requires independent transportation to centers, conducting three to four assessments per child, accurately calculating and recording assessment scores, and engaging and redirecting young children to remain focused on the assessments.

This is a temporary research/assessment position.

Responsibilities
  • Completes company training on administering assessments.
  • Spends 8-14 days in each assessment period (fall, winter & spring) in our schools.
  • Administers the assessments.
  • Scores assessments, enters data online, and submits them via FedEx, UPS, or USPS.
  • Participates in assigned meetings, events, and training as required.
  • Performs any and all other duties (functions) as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, Masters or active enrollment in a Master's program preferred. Focus on child development, early childhood psychology, or related fields strongly preferred.
  • Experience with data collection is preferred.
  • Experience teaching children is preferred.
  • Background checks are required for this position.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on a schedule
  • Demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills, especially using Google Suite apps; spreadsheets, basic data management systems, and internet navigation.
  • Must be honest, dependable, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Travel required locally; must have reliable transportation
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit most of the time with some bending and reaching.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend periodically.
  • Ability to engage in repetitive movement of wrists, hands, and fingers – typing and/or writing.
  • Ability to work frequently at close visual range (i.e. preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, transcription, computer terminal, extensive reading).
  • Ability to receive and respond to oral communication.
  • Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Work is generally performed in a school, learning center, or office environment.

  • Noise level in the work environment is moderate to occasionally loud (examples: classrooms, light to moderate traffic, human voices).
  • Standard office equipment generally used includes:
    • Telephone
    • Personal Computer (monitor, keyboard, and mouse) or Tablet
    • Printer/Photocopy Machine
    • Calculator
Compensation

$35.00 per hour.
