Job summary

Age of Learning is recruiting part-time Research Assessors to administer standardized assessments to children aged 4–5 at early childhood centers. This contract-based role involves onboarding, training, and occasional travel within the metropolitan area, with two assessment windows scheduled for Sept–Oct 2026 and Mar–Apr 2027.

Compensation includes $30/hour for assessment and training, $15/hour travel, and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (minimum) in education, psychology, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, counseling, or related field
• Experience working with young children (ages 3–6)
• Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement)
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• English/Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) preferred for NYC applicants

Responsibilities

• Administer standardized achievement assessments one-on-one with children aged 4–5
• Complete onboarding training (paid) prior to first assessment window
• Attend required training sessions on assessment administration and scoring
• Travel to assigned centers within your metropolitan area
• Participate in two assessment windows: Baseline (Sept–Oct 2026) and Follow-up (Mar–Apr 2027)
• Each window lasts ~2–3 weeks; expect 15–25 hours per week during active periods
