Job summary

Healthy Child Care Co. is seeking a Registered Apprentice to work full time in a classroom while completing a Federally Registered Apprenticeship Program designed to support the Apprentice in becoming Early Childhood Teacher Qualified.

The program provides 183 hours of education and hands-on learning and 2,000 hours of classroom experience toward Teacher Qualification status. Upon successful completion, Apprentices are expected to move into a Teacher-level role as positions become available,

Qualifications

• Meets Colorado Minimum Rules and Regulations for Teacher Assistants.
• Pass federal and state criminal and Colorado Department of Early Childhood background checks, pre-employment drug screen, physical, and verification of employment, education and/or credentials and, by position, valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routines and caregiving tasks under supervision.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized classroom and outdoor areas.
• Engage with children to foster curiosity, social-emotional growth, and positive interactions.
• Participate in required trainings and mentoring within the Registered Apprenticeship program.
