Job summary

Upstate Caring Partners is seeking a Preschool Aide to help the teacher coordinate activities aligned with IEP goals and support classroom operations. You may back up the teacher in their absence and help with maintenance, field trips, meals, and toileting as needed.

You will also assist in training new aides and support therapy goals alongside therapists, contributing to a nurturing, fast-paced learning environment for young children.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with children or coursework in early childhood preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in coordinating individual and group activities in the classroom in line with the IEP goals and plans; act as back-up in the absence of the teacher.
• Participate in classroom maintenance, field trips, feeding and assist in toileting.
• Assist and orient in training new aides.
• Assume the duties of lunch/float aide.
• Assist therapist in carrying out therapy goals.
