Job summary

Lincoln Land Community College is seeking Student Workers to provide assistance to Child Development Center staff in providing care to children ages 15 months to entry to kindergarten at the college’s Child Development Center in Springfield. Student Workers will be scheduled to work up to 20 hours per week during the center’s operational hours (Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM–6:00 PM).

Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and required training.

Qualifications

• Must maintain satisfactory academic progress.
• Must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours) during the semester of employment, with the exception of summer term.
• Complete LLCC’s mandatory harassment prevention training within 30 days of employment.
• Minimum GPA 2.0.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate ( GED ).
• Must complete DCFS Health Examination including TB test.
• Must receive clearance through DCFS Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in Child Development Center classrooms under direction of staff.
• Assist in meal preparation and cleanup and laundry duties.
• Clean, gather, and rotate classroom materials for Child Development Staff.
• Provide coverage for staff breaks and lunches.
