Job summary

The Goddard School in Brooklyn, NY, is searching for a dedicated Teacher's Aide to join our early childhood education team. The role involves creating a nurturing and engaging classroom environment for young children using our proprietary Wonder of Learning® curriculum.

Responsibilities include assisting in lesson plans, supporting children's development, and preparing materials. Compensation ranges from $17 to $20 per hour based on education and experience. A high school diploma is required, with a preference for degrees in Early Childhood Education.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in the handling of children.
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead and Assistant Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment.
