Shawnee Public Schools is seeking a Daycare Paraprofessional to support early childhood students at the Shawnee Early Childhood Center. You will work under supervision to foster social, communication, and intellectual development, following established policies and procedures.

This role involves assisting with personal care, preparing materials, and maintaining a safe, organized classroom environment. CPR certification and relevant education are required, with prior child-related experience

Qualifikationen

• CPR certification required.
• Associate degree or 48 hours college credit or pass OK General Education Test or WorkKeys.
• Previous work or volunteer experience with children, teenagers, and/or clerical experience preferred.
• ECCLT-ability to complete within 30 days of employment.

Aufgaben

• Student behavior management and alert Coordinator to special needs of students.
• Assist students with personal care needs and minor first aid.
• Keep classroom neat and clean and prepare supplies for activities.
• Operate photocopier, laminator, and duplicator; obtain supplies for activities.
• Supervise and monitor safety of children in care.
• Prepare meals and organize mealtimes and snacks for children.
• Help children maintain good hygiene and diaper infants/toddlers.
• Organize activities or implement a curriculum that develops world understanding.
• Develop schedules and routines for physical activity, rest and playtime.
• Keep records of children's progress and communicate with parents.
