Job summary

Sunshine Schools is seeking dependable Early Childhood Substitute Teachers to fill flexible, part-time and on-call roles across our NC locations. You’ll step into classrooms when regular teachers are absent and help keep the magic of learning alive for young children.

You’ll follow routines, support hands-on activities, assist with meals and transitions, and communicate professionally with families and staff. A warm, patient approach and a love for children are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with young children preferred.
• NC Early Childhood Credential preferred but not required to apply.
• Ability to meet all required childcare background-check and employment qualifications.
• Flexibility to work in different classrooms, with different age groups, and at one or more Sunshine Schools locations.
• A genuine love for children and early childhood education.
• Warmth, patience, reliability, and the ability to stay calm when the regular routine changes—or someone spills paint on your shoes.
