New Creations in Blaine, MN is hiring caring childcare teachers to join our team. Positions range from aides to lead teachers and require meeting DCYF qualifications. The role involves implementing weekly curricula, supervising staff, and maintaining a safe, happy learning environment for children.

You will communicate with families about progress, attend conferences, and contribute to a positive team culture with benefits including wellness days and discounts.

Hiring for all positions- must meet DCYF qualifications

Aides: $15-$16 per hour.

Assistant Teachers: $16-$17 per hour.

Lead Teachers: $17-$20 per hour

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

• Previous childcare experience, preferably in a childcare center environment
• For Teacher/Assistant Teacher qualified positions- meets the education & experience requirements as defined by DCYF
• Exemplifies the standards and characteristics of a New Creations employee (responsible, flexible, reliable, positive role model, etc.)
• State DHS background check and fingerprints shall determine that the applicant has not been “convicted of a felony... has no criminal record that the commissioner reasonably believes renders the person unsuitable to be employed in a child care center.”
• Certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid & CPR completed within 30 days of employment.
• SUIDS & AHT completed on first day of employment.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to travel on an ongoing basis.
• Extensive standing and walking; sitting on the floor and on low (12”) chairs.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Lifting and carrying children extensively in the infant/toddler program; less frequently in the preschool program, but the children are heavier.
• Frequent moving of equipment (cots, tables, etc.).
• Pushing children in buggies, strollers, and walking for considerable periods.
• The necessity of being outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Exposure to unpleasant odors and fluids caused by vomit (occasional) and bodily elimination.
• Relatively frequent exposure to loud noises (baby crying, toys falling and other common occurrences of children at play).

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends

Experience:

• childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
