Job summary

Bright Horizons Teacher positions are available full-time for infants, toddlers, and two-year-olds. You will join a team of early education experts and have the opportunity to pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost.

As a teacher, you will create hands-on activities, communicate with families about milestones, and maintain a safe, clean classroom while following essential procedures. The role offers hourly pay between $15.40 and $20.75.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED is required.
• College-level coursework in early childhood education, CDA, or an associate or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred.
• 1 year of professional teaching experience in child care, daycare, or preschool is preferred.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain open communication with parents about daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe, clean classroom by following procedures and guidelines.

Full-time positions are available with infants, toddlers, and two's.

• Full‑time infant teacher – preferred shift: M‑F 9am‑6pm
• Full‑time toddler teacher – preferred shift: M‑F 10:45am‑7:45pm
• Full‑time two's teacher – preferred shift: M‑F 9am‑6pm

Physical Requirements

This position requires the employee to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons, and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training.

Additional physical tasks include:

• Frequently lift, carry, or hold children weighing 10–40 pounds; occasionally lift more than 40 pounds.
• Demonstrate full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, and otherwise fully participate in activities.
• Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies.
• Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is between $15.40 and $20.75 per hour.
