The Business

Employee Experience (EX) is the sum of all the touchpoints and moments that matter between employees and their employers. It sits at the heart of delivering superior customer experience and is key to our clients’ success. Willis Towers Watson is the leader in Employee Experience (EX).

We have the unique ability to use insights to drive impact. That means we ground everything we do in a deep understanding of what people care about – what makes them tick, what’s inhibiting change, what really matters. And we use that to fuel their EX, shaping high-value, high-impact people solutions – and delivering them in a way that sparks behavior change and drives business results.

Our people come from diverse backgrounds and bring a range of skills and capabilities – we’re insights masters, change catalysts, storytellers, culture shapers, org strategists, digital champions and more. Our EX architects know the power of bringing these capabilities and our offerings together to deliver high-impact solutions for our clients’ most complex challenges.

Together, we’re all about powering ambitions—of our colleagues, our clients and their people.

What is an Analyst / Communicator, Employee Experience?

As an Analyst / Communicator in Communication & Engagement Solutions, you will collaborate on cross-functional teams to plan, organize, and successfully deliver on client engagements (including the employee experience, Total Rewards communications, organization transformation, workforce transformation and AI-enabled work, wellbeing, benefits and culture.) You will help keep engagements on time, on budget and within scope. You will use AI and digital tools to accelerate research, analysis, drafting and production while applying human judgement to verify accuracy, sources, confidentiality, bias, accessibility, tone and client suitability. Success requires business acumen and confidence working with senior colleagues and client contacts.

You will bring organized thinking, clear communication, initiative and strong time management; navigate ambiguity; and contribute to both strategy and implementation. You will learn to connect solutions across employee insights, strategy and change management, behavior change, communications, employee experience software (Embark) and other digital offerings.

Key Attributes

  • Strategic navigator and influencer. Partners with senior colleagues to design, present and implement communication and change strategies, building trust and influencing decisions that support client and business outcomes.
  • Content creator and storyteller. Uses AI and digital tools to accelerate research, drafting and production, then applies judgement to translate data and insights into accurate, clear and audience-specific deliverables across formats.
  • AI-enabled problem solver and validator. Structures prompts and workflows, selects appropriate tools and critically evaluates outputs for evidence, logic, tone, bias, accessibility, confidentiality, brand alignment and client suitability; escalates when expert review or a non-AI approach is needed.
  • Experience advocate. Tests digital and AI-enabled experiences, gathers user feedback and translates usability and accessibility findings into practical improvements.
  • Relationship builder and collaborator. Builds rapport quickly, values team members’ strengths, exchanges constructive feedback and helps create an inclusive environment where colleagues can contribute, learn and thrive.
  • Curious, resilient learner. Pursues new knowledge and opportunities, steps outside the comfort zone and remains composed through ambiguity and challenging situations.
  • Excellence seeker. Brings a team-first mindset, accountability and commitment to high-quality work aligned with the company values of client focus, teamwork, respect, excellence and integrity.

Criteria / Role Expectations

  • Research, analyze, write and refine employee experience materials, using AI for first drafts and analysis while applying strong editing, storytelling and audience-adaptation skills.
  • Build technical knowledge across industries and human capital topics.
  • Produce high-quality work and manage assigned activities consistently, including quality assurance of AI-assisted and human-created deliverables.
  • Coordinate stakeholders and projects by tracking decisions, actions, risks, dependencies, timelines and communications.
  • Conduct interviews and synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare for and participate in client meetings, present selected work, facilitate portions of discussions and follow through on actions with coaching.
  • Create reusable prompts, context, examples and workflow instructions for recurring work.
  • Test digital and AI-enabled experiences for usability, accessibility, accuracy and failure modes, and recommend evidence-based improvements.
  • Apply responsible AI practices covering privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property, bias, sourcing and human review; elevate uncertainty or risk.
  • Support business development and intellectual capital by drafting statements of work, project plans and budgets and contributing to new tools and approaches.
