Job Description

Allstate is seeking a dynamic Subrogation Attorney to join our legal team. This position involves representing insured clients and the company in auto and property subrogation cases, defending bodily injury and property damage lawsuits. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to develop innovative legal strategies.

Sign-On Bonus Included! We offer a one-time sign-on bonus of $10,000, contingent upon successful completion of our hiring process, payable within 60 days of start date.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation as appropriate.
• Negotiate and resolve auto and property subrogation cases with third-party carriers.
• Review new files, approve pleadings, propound discovery, and develop legal strategies.
• Maintain contact with clients every 90 days to discuss cases and answer questions.
• Coordinate with claims teams on litigation plans and updates.
• Thoroughly review all documentary evidence.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
• Conduct depositions and prepare summary documents.
• Manage court appearances, including hearings and settlement conferences.
• Try and arbitrate cases, prepare motions, and draft post-trial motions.
• Effectively manage legal projects and foster team collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate and active California State Bar membership.
• Litigation experience in-house or law firm setting.
• Experience in subrogation, collections, insurance defense, or personal injury litigation preferred.
• Proven trial or arbitration experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis, and internet research.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage a large caseload.
• Ability to work independently and remotely, with willingness to travel in the Los Angeles area.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years preferred.

Compensation:

Annual salary ranges from $66,800 to $120,650, based on experience and qualifications.
