Join us as an Early Career Structural Engineer - Buildings at WSP in the U.S.

WSP is seeking an Early Career Structural Engineer to be based in our Boston, MA or North Providence, RI office. You will work with our Structural Engineering Team on various projects, contributing to a growing organization that meets client objectives and solves engineering challenges. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong teamwork abilities

Candidates will receive advanced training in structural design and digital technology, collaborating with colleagues worldwide through practice area networks and learning forums.

Your Responsibilities
  • Design structural components for new and existing buildings across the U.S.
  • Analyze and design superstructures and foundations in timber, concrete, steel, and masonry.
  • Utilize the latest digital tools and technology for design.
  • Complete training on assigned tasks.
  • Adhere to ethical standards, company policies, and safety regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as needed by the business.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with design/build processes and relevant codes
  • Proficient in Revit, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Commitment to safety and company policies

Preferred:

  • Recent or upcoming graduates (Dec 2024 or June 2025) in accredited programs
  • Masters in Structural Engineering (preferred)
  • Internship experience in civil/structural engineering
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or Microstation

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement plans, paid leave, and more. Salary range: $68,000 - $81,000, depending on experience and location.
