Job summary

Entegee is seeking an early-career designer to support development of innovative product solutions from concept to production-ready designs in Dubuque, IA. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced engineering and design environment, working with senior designers to refine aesthetics, ergonomics, and manufacturability.

A Bachelor’s in Industrial Design or related field and CAD proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Design support: create 3D models, drawings, and prototypes for mechanical/industrial products.
• Collaboration: work with senior designers and engineering teams to refine aesthetics, ergonomics, and functionality.
• Documentation: maintain design records and specifications for manufacturing.
• Problem solving: participate in design reviews to propose cost-effective solutions.
• Research: stay updated on trends, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in one or more CAD software (such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or Rhino) and Adobe Creative Suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Support: Assist in creating 3D models, technical drawings, and prototypes for a variety of mechanical and industrial products.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior designers and engineering teams to refine product aesthetics, ergonomics, and functionality.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate design records and specifications to ensure seamless transitions to manufacturing.
• Problem Solving: Participate in design reviews to identify potential issues and propose creative, cost-effective solutions.
• Research: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to contribute fresh ideas to the team.
