Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering (required).
  • Advanced degree in the same (preferred).
  • FE certification (preferred).
  • Prior internship experience in environmental consulting (preferred).
  • Experience with modeling/design tools such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, MicroStation, WaterGEMS (preferred).
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
  • Regular field work and overnight travel (required).
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing (required).

Responsibilities

  • Civil/infrastructure, water and wastewater conveyance and treatment detail design and site planning.
  • Engineering analyses such as planning studies, hydraulic modeling, equipment sizing and selection.
  • Preparation of engineering design drawings and specifications for water, wastewater, groundwater and stormwater treatment facilities.
  • Development of functional narratives and Operations and Maintenance plans for water, wastewater, groundwater and stormwater treatment facilities.
  • Vendor coordination to assist with cost estimates and lead time for equipment deliverables.
  • Fieldwork associated with design and construction services.
  • Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures; and
  • Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, and proposals.

Education and Licensure

  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification. (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
