Job summary

Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking an Early Career Mechanical Design Engineer to support the Environmental Test Design Engineering team in Berkeley, MO. You will develop mechanical designs, fixtures, and test rigs that integrate with lab infrastructure for military aircraft programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Materials)
• US Citizenship required for US Security Clearance; final Secret Clearance Post-Start
• Experience with 3D solid modeling software (NX, Catia, CADD)
• Experience in mechanical systems design

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design criteria from test objectives/specifications
• Design mechanical systems, fixtures, and interfaces to lab infrastructure
• Create detailed CAD models for design reviews and fit verification
• Evaluate materials and fabrication approaches
• Create fabrication drawings and documentation
• Integrate instrumentation and sensor hardware into designs
• Conduct stress, modal, thermal, and fluid-dynamics analyses
• Provide on-site guidance during installation and test execution
• Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, test engineers and technicians
