Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking an In-Building RF Design & Optimization Engineer to join our team in the US.

You will support design, deployment, optimization, and performance management of indoor wireless networks across stadiums, hospitals, warehouses, and offices, using LTE and 5G NR tech and Ericsson RAN products. You will lead RF design activities, perform site surveys, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver optimized indoor coverage and capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master’s a plus.
• 3–5 years of RF engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency with iBwave for indoor wireless design and modeling.
• Strong knowledge of LTE and 5G NR technologies, including NSA and SA architectures.
• Experience with Ericsson RAN products (EPP, TEMS, ENM, Baseband, Radios) and DAS/RDS.

Responsibilities

• Design indoor wireless solutions for varied environments.
• Build and maintain 3D venue models using iBwave; plan cabling and placements.
• Lead LTE/5G NR RF design activities for coverage and capacity.
• Design RDS, Passive DAS, and other in-building solutions with Ericsson gear.
• Conduct site surveys and assess construction needs for deployment planning.
• Perform RF analysis addressing SINR optimization and macro-to-indoor challenges.
• Lead real-time indoor optimization for venues, events, small cells, and COWs.
• Analyze walk tests and KPIs to identify coverage issues; provide root-cause action plans.
• Deliver post-optimization reports to customers and coordinate remote teams.
