WSP is seeking an Early Career Transmission Line Engineer in Meridian, Idaho to support high voltage overhead transmission line design and analysis. You will work with the Boise Line Team on project execution, field coordination, and technical development to build a strong foundation in transmission engineering.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Civil/Structural/Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 0 to 1 year of relevant post-education experience.
• Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
• Familiarity with design/build concepts.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and record-keeping.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Ability to work independently or in a team in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient technical writing and office software skills.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or CAM software for design tasks.
• Interest in transmission line engineering and electric utility infrastructure.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Commitment to safety and company policies.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Mansioni

• Assist with technical design and analysis, including PLSCADD modeling for line layout and structure analysis.
• Prepare design calculations for structures, foundations, conductor systems, and line components.
• Support development of plan & profile drawings, loading trees, material lists, and construction packages.
• Evaluate route constraints, design criteria, clearances, terrain, and reliability requirements.
• Support QA/QC for drawings, calculations, and deliverables.
• Assist in preparing engineering reports, permit exhibits, and cost estimates.
• Participate in design reviews and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Occasional field reviews or site visits for validations.
• Engage in Early Career development tools and mentorship programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and uphold safety culture.
• Complete training on assigned tasks and adhere to Conduct policies.
