Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (geotechnical focus) required.
• Master's or PhD in geotechnical engineering preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.
• Prior internship or work experience in engineering consulting preferred.
• Strong fundamentals in geotechnical engineering theory and practice required.
• Excellent writing and communication skills required.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SLIDE, and PLAXIS preferred.
• Python programming experience preferred.
• Regular field work and overnight travel required.
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Developing, installing, and managing instrumentation and monitoring systems;
• Developing construction documents;
• Monitoring heavy civil construction projects;
• Writing and reviewing engineering reports; and
• Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.

Education and Licensure

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (geotechnical focus) or geotechnical engineering. (required)
• Master's or PhD degree in geotechnical engineering. (preferred)
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification. (preferred)
